Nailheads are usually flat but with shiny metallic surface. Think Smarties! Something like that but not as big as Smarties. Nailheads do not sparkle as much as a rhinestone or rhinestud.

Hotfix Nailheads

Hotfix nailheads have flat backs, just like hotfix rhinestones, and rhinestuds. It has a layer of heat-melt glue on the back which will melt when heat is applied.
